Part-time install helper

I need a reliable second set of hands on appliance installs. You don't need experience. If you show up on time and take care in a customer's home, I'll teach you the rest.

What you'd do

Unbox and detape new appliances and keep the packaging and the job site tidy
Move refrigerators, ranges and ovens from the garage into the house on shoulder dollies and an appliance dolly
Spot me while an appliance is on the dolly and help set it into place
Protect floors, cabinets and walls as we work

It isn't nonstop heavy lifting, but you need some strength and a good back. Most of these are high-end homes, so being careful matters more than being strong.

You need

To show up on time, every time
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
A phone and quick replies to texts
To be comfortable lifting with a dolly and on your feet for a few hours
To be respectful in people's homes
To pass a background check

Nice to have

Any mechanical or handy experience, like carpentry, plumbing, cars or moving work
Comfort with basic hand and power tools
Interest in learning a trade

None of these are required. I'll teach you the tools and the right way to do things.

Start as a helper. Move up from there.

I'm always going to need help. Anyone who starts at the bottom has a real chance to learn the business and grow with it. If you just want to help carry, that's fine too.

Step 1HelperUnboxing, moving and spotting. You learn how a job runs and how to work in a finished home.

Step 2Installer in trainingLeveling, water lines, anti-tip brackets, panel doors and trim, done next to me. Pay goes up as you take on more.

Step 3InstallerYou run parts of the install yourself, and eventually whole jobs.

How it works: We start with a short call or coffee, then a paid trial day on a real job. That's the best way for both of us to see if it's a fit.
